zerotwozero (020) is the dewey classifcation for Library and Information Science as a broad subject that encompasses what this blog is about. My name is Chris Gower and I am a LIS graduate who works as a Learning Centre Assistant in Exeter College, I am a member of the SW CofFHE Committee, a group of CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) and a UNISON Health and Safety Rep at our college, which I have only recently volunteered for.
I believe that librarians are not just facilitators of knowledge and disseminators of information, but it is up to us as a profession to highlight and show everyday people what is going wrong with our world and what we must do to save it and us from destruction.
A librarian has many thoughts during the day, an LCA is also on the front line and the first point of contact for students and staff, so appropriately this blog is from the front line!
